I come from a place where we flew kites on summer evenings; smoked cigarettes by the creek; dreamed of flying through space; saw a man walk upon the moon. We thought we were invincible; saw friends lost; went down to the sea; oceans crossed; saw Ireland, Denmark, and France. Stood in awe before a sunset over the Chisos; had my eyes widened by Van Gogh and Renoir; threw rocks at the moon. Built buildings; fashioned landscapes; tried to find the things beautiful. Raised a daughter; crossed the Rockies in a VW bus; painted pictures; listened to the symphonies; tried to find the music in the spheres. I've seen the sea turn to green; chased flying fish in the Caribbean; raced before a hurricane.
I don't know what else is in store. I am sure it will be eventful.

A first date would be a cup of coffee.
