I have 2 beautiful girls. Work in a GP surgery (12 years) and am presently training to be a phlebotomist (to take blood). I enjoy socialising with friends and spending time with my girls. Been separated just over 1 year and still getting used to singledom! I don't watch very much TV as it bores me. I enjoy reading, mainly psychological thrillers but haven't made a lot of time for it recently. I have a very wide choice of likes in music from classical to some rock. I'm a reasonable DIY're but mainly through need than choice. I gave up smoking 4 months ago but still occasionally indulge, especially after a drink. Would love to travel more one day, to attend a ballet or the opera at some stage as a new experience. Need to see more of the UK too when I get the opportunity. I'm fairly tall (5' 11) and wld not want to date anyone shorter than myself, wld mke me feel a little unfeminine unfortunately!

Just wanted to add something else. Sites like these are fantastic for opening up the world and connecting with people you wld probably never come across in day to day life. The set back is your communicating and probably attracted to just a picture, the danger of which it doesn't always really show the real you......covers up all the physical flaws to a degree, so for some honesty. I wld consider myself a fairly plain Jane, I scrub up reasonably with a bit of well placed mascara and eyeliner to enhance the eyes and a bit of face cream to disguise the blotchy complexion etc, I'm 43 and have had 2 children so I'm a real woman and don't have the body of a pin-up lol, gravity is taking it's evil hold.......the pic on the beach possibly is the closest resemblence to me in my natural state!! So there you go :-)

First date?.........a quiet drink/meal, maybe a nice walk somewhere first to chat and become acquainted, but any more interesting and unique suggestions considered lol
