Single for a little over a year, I’m loving my new found freedom. Each day is an opportunity to enjoy the many new friends I have made (mostly at my neighborhood bars) and to make new ones, to do community service (I like to volunteer with the kids at Casa Pacifica), to be creative (knitting, sewing, decorative painting), to cook a good meal at home (but eating out is even better), to try a new wine (usually red) or a smooth tequila (Patron is my favorite so far), to listen to some great music (anything as long as it has a melody and a moderate decibel level), to go out dancing (I’ll do this with my girlfriends but prefer a man), to read a GOOD book (sci-fi, suspense, fantasy, and best-seller fiction are my favs), to go to a GOOD movie (any genre except Slasher preferably with a minimum rating of 80% on Rotten Tomatoes), and to travel as much as possible (day and weekend trips are fun but vacations to far off places are the best). In my prior incarnation (married with kids), I raised two beautiful daughters (now 22 and 25 years old) and three dogs (a golden retriever, a standard poodle and currently a Lhasa Apso/Poodle mix). Besides all this fun stuff, I am a licensed (but currently laid-off) Architect who loves designing and managing commercial building projects. I hope to find a new job soon, but meanwhile I’m making the most of my leisure time. Life is too short!
