Writing this part is always hard-primarily because I much rather tell you about what I like to do and not so much about me. I guess my hopes are that in reading about the things I like/dislike, you can get a pretty solid idea of who I am, what I stand for and what I wont stand for. Here goes nothing.

Im in Graduate school to be a high school math teacher and for a Masters in Bilingual Secondary Education. I've been working with high schools through the AVID program for the past 5 years. Alot of my time is taken by my students in whatever they need me. Typically Monday-Friday 8am-7pm. I also do alot of private tutoring for two different families in this area. I figured that the only way to truly know if Education is my thing is through lots of experience. What I DO know is that I would like to teach at an URBAN High school where it seems like I (or any teacher with a desire to instill change) would be needed the most.

Now that I've gotten my job out of the way, I like to dance. I try to go out at least once a month with friends to clubs. But as Im getting older I've realized that I dont really like the atmosphere: the picking up, the getting plastered drunk, etc. I drink socially, but I know when to say when.

IM BY NO MEANS looking to get married anytime soon, but Im tired of the games. They say girls mature faster than boys...and it wasnt til this year that Ive found that to be true.

Yes, I do have a sense of humor, although the previous makes me sound like a stickler! haha I just know what i want and what I dont want. My personality is pretty sarcastic, but Im also very loving, so Ive found that its hard for people to tell (other than in person) when Im being sarcastic because I want to make fun or because Im trying to be mean. haha it makes for interesting conversations.
