I enjoy taking art classes and having an active lifestyle. I retired from teaching 2 years ago, and I am exploring options for another career.....and other interests. ; ) I love the fun of square to dancing, and I enjoy going to concerts. Being part of a group that is learning or working on something together is very appealing to me. For example, I sing in a church choir, volunteer at the library and for Manna, and take part in some weekend outings. My musical tastes run from classical to country to big band to rock and roll to blues and folk. Rap I find hard to appreciate....
Some of my goals are to keep fit and healthy. ( I'm not an extremist when it comes to working out and eating special foods; I just know that when I feel good, everything is better in my life.) I'm service-oriented and find volunteering in the community and church are beneficial to others in need - and to me too. Another area of goals I have are in the fine arts. I'm working on learning how to paint, draw, etc. and that's helping me to improve the way I think of myself as one who is creative. I would like to learn to play the autoharp even if only for myself. I'd like to try doing some gourmet cooking. I'd like to find a fella that would be interested in learning and growing too - together?

I am a Latte Lovin' Lassie. So how about meeting for a cuppa? I also like sitting outside on a nice day and watching folks go by. Or it could be fun to go to an art show, museum, zoo, or fair to wander and look at the exhibits.
I can spend time alone and also in groups. After a string of groups activities, I long for some time to be quiet and alone to regenerate before heading out for more.
A sense of humor (including laughing at myself) comes in handy when life gets challenging. It's fun for me to match wits with another who can find the "lighter side" of things.
