Thank you for checking out my profile. I am not your typical man. I am self-made who has worked very hard and have owned my own business for more than 20 years.

I consider myself to be kind, considerate, compassionate, fair, generous, but yet strong willed, & determined, I am looking for similar characteristics in a woman. Female characteristics that will spook me and probably any other man; unrealistic expectations, self serving motives, and perfectionist attitudes. I believe in equality with obvious exceptions. When one of the partners is giving most of the time and the other doing most of the taking, that is the prescription for a doomed relationship.

Ultimately I look for a woman that recognizes the mans and woman's needs within a relationship are different and to build upon that requires a strong desire on both to openly communicate and at times to confront peacefully, in the spirit of cooperation and compromise, effectively extinguishing misunderstandings before they snowball, with the ultimate goal of creating a healthy, strong, nurturing, and trusting bond that results in a satisfying and rewarding relationship.

I’m a big guy with a big heart, not a pushover, but not easily scared either. I am unpretentious, genuine, and believe in the truth at all times. I dance to my own drumbeat and have been told often that my style of thinking is "outside the box." As I am a non-smoker, I prefer that you be one as well. A love of animals is a must as I love animals of all sorts.

I enjoy the outdoors Canoeing in particular, whether its white water, a lazy drift or a heart pounding ride! Also enjoy fishing from the shoreline, taking the time to enjoy a picnic somewhere peaceful and possibly romantic, or trail riding on motorcycles or 4-wheelers. It doesn’t matter as long as its outdoors.

While I do enjoy heading downtown for dinner and drinks, a concert or other venues, more often than not, I like staying in and being master of the grill… cooking a great steak, while we enjoy soft music in the background.

I also enjoy taking the time to get to know someone through witty banter, stimulating conversations about most any subject, dry humor and spending time together. You know, seeing a person in many different surroundings and watching how they react to situations, people, and how they ultimately enjoy or don’t enjoy life. I believe in getting to know a person for who they truly are.

I am looking for an independent woman who has the ability to make me laugh, make me think, and ultimately make me smile. A woman who wants a man of integrity and strong character and who will allow me to be myself. A woman who can give back as good as I give and laugh about it. A woman who will challenge me and support me while I do the same for her. I want a woman who makes me want her… a woman I just can’t get off my mind. A woman who knows what it means to love someone unconditionally.

A casual setting to meet for drinks and possibly finger foods. A place that allows for great conversation and laughter so that we get acquainted. Perhaps a few lighthearted battle of words on intriguing topics. At the end of the night I'll be the perfect gentleman, I'll walk you to your car.
