I’m intelligent, friendly, kind and considerate. A good listener. I value honesty and hate cruelty in all its forms. I'm mostly happy, have an even temper and a naturally placid nature. Quite witty with a good sense of humour. It really doesn't matter if your glass is sometimes half empty, so long as you have a lot of glasses. I do make the effort to keep mine at least half full and my aim is to let it overflow more often.

I am looking for someone to enjoy life with.

I enjoy a wide range of music, live music, a concert in the park, ballet, the theatre, botanical gardens, day trips, holidays, good wine, good food, good conversation and candlelight. I love to watch the sun setting, the moon over the water, the dawn come up; the sea in all its moods and the ever changing clouds. I also enjoy the countryside. Any of these simple pleasures could be enriched if shared with someone special.
I have always enjoyed anything to do with steam trains and and steam engines. Not an avid television watcher but I enjoy watching TV sometimes. Not interested in films displaying gratuitous violence.
Life is for living and that seems far better than the alternative.

If you are only after a sexual encounter .... It isn't what I'm looking for.
If you are interested in friendship first ... getting to know each other and then seeing where that leads .. I'd be happy with that.

We could go for a drink, or maybe a meal. Doing something simple in safe surroundings where we could talk and get to know each other seems a good idea. That way we could decide if we like each other enough to want to continue and if not, there should be no hurt feelings.
